There are quick and simple ways in which your daily routine can immediately become more Italian, and therefore healthier:

- Enjoy simple fresh food:
Delicious and healthy food does not have to be complicated. On average, Italians consume 2 -3 fresh vegetables a day and small quantities of protein. When eating their daily pasta, their portions are small, no bigger than a fistful of pasta in your dish. Eliminate butter and substitute Extra Virgin Olive Oil, it is better for you and delicious.

- Take time to enjoy your food:
No matter how hectic your day, no matter how many errands you feel you have to run, set aside one hour at the dinner table with your family. Relax and socialize while drinking and eating. Discuss the events of your day. Sitting for long periods of time at the dinner table does not lead to excessive eating or drinking, rather to a healthy social and nutritional experience.

- Take a walk everyday:
Italians are famous for the passeggiata. They stroll, walk, converse, while getting fresh air and digesting their food. Not only is this a healthy habit, but it increases socializing and conversation with your family and friends, or a time to reflect if on your own.
